Step 1: Open your Dib alt Mobile App and Online banking
Step 2: Tap “Aani” on the bottom menu, then select ‘Register Now”
Step 3: Choose your DIB Account for Aani payments (send and receive money)
Step 4: Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number to complete enrollment
Step 5: Download the Aani App, sign up using your registered mobile number with DIB, select DIB as your bank and you start using it
Aani is an instant payment platform powered by Al Etihad Payments, an initiative of the Central Bank of the UAE.
With Aani, you can send money or request to receive money using mobile numbers, email addresses or QR codes. This allows transactions without exchanging bank account or IBAN details with individuals who have activated Aani.
You can enroll for Aani with your DIB account. Follow the below steps:
You can see them in Aani home screen under ‘Track and manage > Transaction history’.
This section will contain all your historical transactions as per below. You may also set a filter to choose the dates.
Yes, you can only send or receive money using Aani with another registered Aani user. You need to enroll with your bank account to be visible to another Aani user.
Yes, your bank account will be debited immediately.
The transfers done via Aani will be processed instantly.
At any point of time only one account can serve as the transactional account for Aani which will be referred to as default account.
No, only active UAE mobile numbers can be used for Aani transactions.
At present, Aani payments are limited to domestic transfers only, allowing customers to send and receive money only between accounts held at licensed financial institutions or licensed payment service providers in the UAE, in AED.
The amount will be reversed back to the customer account within 24 hours in case of rejection or failure. If not, you can reach out to DIB customer care on 04 609 2222.
Aani transfers cannot be cancelled or amended once processed since these are STP (straight-through-process) transactions which are sent instantly to beneficiary bank, however in case of any dispute please reach out to DIB customer care on 04 609 2222.
No, beneficiary addition is not required to initiate Aani transfers. The contacts who have been enrolled by the banks on the Aani platform will be available from phonebook to initiate Aani transfers through Aani application.
The receiving party is expected to receive funds immediately however, this may depend on the receiving bank. Any delay should be followed up by the receiving party with their banks.

All DIB customers will be able to avail services from Aani application free of cost, we will update in case of any further changes.
Yes, you can make immediate payments at any time, any day of the week.
The validity of a request is 7 days. Requesters can see the ‘Expiry date’ under ‘Active requests’ tab in ‘Track and manage’ section in Aani application.
